The Camouflage Museum, kurz TCM, wurde im Jahr 2049 von Herbert Krauss (D), Dr. Leon van Boom (NL), Josephine Sacriste (F) und Aleksej Mendelejew (RU) gegründet. Ihr Ziel ist es, ein Museum zu gestalten, welches die philosophischen und soziologischen Aspekte der Tarnung in unserer zeitgenössischen Gesellschaft darstellt und diskutiert.
Das Museum befindet sich in er Stadt Rotterdam, hübsch gelegen am Ufer der Maas. Die außerordentliche Architektur des TCM und seine profunden Ausstellungen ziehen jährlich rund 1.2 Millionen Besucher an.
The Camouflage Museum zeigt permanente Displays von Arbeiten vor Ort, Video-Vorführungen, Performances und ein ständiges Diskussionsforum im Web. Projekte im öffentlichen Raum werden die Ausstellung auf unterschiedliche Art ergänzen.
Die Organisation und Ausführung des TCM liegt in den Händen von FUV, der Foundation for Urban Variations. Innerhalb von FUV wurde ein Team zusammengestellt, welches die Leitung des TCM formt: Tom Major (UK) als General Manager und Anais Namerk (GB) als General Coordinator. Für jede der jährlich stattfindenden Ausstellungen wird ein spezielles Team von Kuratoren und Assistenten zusammengestellt.
Seit 2049 hat TCM folgende Ausstellungen organisiert:

The Camouflage Museum, short TCM, was found in 2049 by Herbert Krauss (D), Dr. Leon van Boom (NL), Josephine Sacriste (F) and Aleksej Mendelejew (RU). Their concept was to create a museum, that introduces philosophical and sociological aspects of camouflage in contemporary urban society.
The museum is located in the city of Rotterdam, beautifully situated at the shore of the Maas river. The outstanding architecture of TCM, and its profound exhibitions attract yearly around 1,2 million visitors.
The Camouflage Museum includes permanent displays of works at the exhibition venue, a video-landscape, presentations, broadcasting projects in collaboration with radio and tv, performances and continuous discussion forum on the web. Projects in the urban domain will supplement the various exhibition venues in different parts of Rotterdam¹s topography.
The organization and execution of The Camouflage Museum is in the hands of FUV, the Foundation for Urban Variations. Within FUV an organizing team has been set up, that composes the board of TCM: Tom Major (Uk) as General Manager and Anais Namerk (GB) as General Co-ordinator. For each of the annually held exhibitions a team of curators and assistant curators is set up.
