Jim Avignon aka Neoangin, ist ein Chronist der Veränderung, ein Ewigdaraufwarter das was passiert, ein Ertränker von sentimentalen Stimmungen in Gin Tonic.
Seine Musik laviert zwischen labiler Fröhlichkeit und aufgekratzter Schwermut . Sampler, Keyboard und Beatbox bilden die Keimzelle für ein Popparalleluniversum. Darin verknotet er süßliche Sixtiesharmonien, obskure new wave arrangements und krachige Hiphopbeats zu einem großen ganzen und murmelt ein paar grimmige Slogans darüber, die schon mal die gefühlte Stimmung einer ganzen Generation zum Ausdruck bringen können.

Seine show verspricht ein schräges, wildes Bühnenprogramm mit haarsträubenden Tanzeinlagen und analoger Multimediashow, die Musik ein verwegener Cocktail aus allem was einem im elektronischen Segment gut und schlecht erscheint.
Neoangin schleppt stets ein ganzes arsenal von bühnenbildern und Masken mit sich herum und verwandelt jede bühne in eine funkelnde Cartoonlandschaft.

Jim Avignon translates the chaos of the modern existence into paintings of fascinating beauty with sparse strokes and bright colours. He is a chronicler of change, who explains the world in his paintings and icons.

He works quickly, effectively and flexibly, and presents himself in the media in inconsistent paintings. He considers himself a conceptual artist. His paintings are intelligent and aggressive. He makes both fighter planes and lighter flames. One moment he paints by request for the Federal Chancellor, and then the next thing he sells bent cardboard paintings in back-alley galleries for 30€ a piece. In his methodology, image and marketing policy, he is miles away from the common sense of the artistic society. His paintings are not displayed in museums, but they are still classic works. He circulates Neoangin tapes and CDs, organises ”Who Is Afraid of Friendly Capitalism Lounge” in Berlin, and has for years now published his art and graphics magazine Attack/Delay in the renowned Gestalten Publishing. A painter and musician from Berlin, Jim Avignon is dropping in for a concert with his one-man home-electronic band Neoangin.

He is the Andy Warhol of Berlin (as the press abroad claims)
He is the boy who can’t relax (as his friend state)
He is the unbeatable king of good mood (as he declares himself)

Jim Avignon a.k.a. Neoangin is a chronicler of change, eternally waiting for something to happen, and drowning his sorrows in gin tonic.
His music oscillates between unstable joy and renewed melancholy. Sampler, Keyboard and Beatbox comprise a seed of a pop parallel universe. There, he ties in sweet harmonies of the Sixties, obscure new wave arrangements and noisy hip hop beats all into a greater whole, and mutters a few peevish slogans about that, which might express the atmosphere felt by an entire generation.

In this way he has filled entire albums, five up to now, and three of them are already sold out.
He was a guest in a Finnish TV show, he acted together with Nova Huta as a Robert Smith double and has a small fan club in Hong Kong. He has also recently published a superb handbook in the Verbrecher Publishing, thrilling not only Spex.

And he is alredy working on a CD that is set to be another smash hit. He is recording a CD in Russia together with beat poets Psoy, and in April he is going to publish in Gestalten Publishing his annual magazine Attack / Delay 3.

His show promises a mad and wild program on the stage with hair-raising dance pieces, an analog multimedia show, and music as a bold cocktail of everything good and bad in the electronica segment.
Neoangin always drags around with him a whole arsenal of stage pictures and masks, and converts each stage into a flaming cartoon landscape.
He named his one-man electronica big band after having taken a totally harmless pill against sore throat when he was feeling sick, and now sings against it in each show.
