(english)Die gegenständlichen Bilder dieser Malerin versetzen den Betrachter in eine Welt voller Möglichkeiten, in der selbst einfache Dinge aus der Natur oder aus dem Alltag der Menschen eine bemerkenswerte Hauptrolle spielen können und zum Fantasieren und Träumen anregen.

Das Wechselspiel von oftmals scharf fokussierten Parts und dynamisch verwischten Mittel- und Hintergründen sowie das Nebeneinander fast aller Farben des Lichtspektrums schaffen stets einen eigenen Harmoniemodus.

Eine Ebene, die sich jenseits von vorder-gründiger Ironie oder ermüdender Tagespolitik abspielt, und dennoch große Relevanz aufweist.

Eine Kelle Beobachtungsgabe, eine Handvoll Poesie und eine Messerspitze Komik gehören zur Zutatenliste ihrer Kunst. Das Ergebnis sind sowohl beeindruckende Malereien als auch nachhaltige Bildnisse, die sich stil-sicher und mit schlafwandlerischer Sicherheit nahe an den morastigen Rändern von Kitsch, Banalität der Alltagswelt und Eskapismus vorbeibewegen. Ohne sich dreckig zu machen!

Sabine Kirste’s representational images transport the viewer into a world full of possibilities.

A world in which even the most simple things from nature and everyday life can take on a surprisingly main role and stimulate both the imagination and dreams.

The interplay of often sharply focussed parts and dynamically blurred middle- and backgrounds as well as the juxtaposition of almost every colour in the light spectrum consistently creates a unique harmony.

This plane exists beyond superficial irony and tiring everyday politics and yet is hugely relevant.

A ladle of observational skills, a handful of poetry and a pinch of humour are some of the ingredients in Kirste’s artwork.

The results are both powerful paintings and lasting images that, with stylistic confidence and the sureness of a sleepwalker, manoeuvre along the swampy boundary of kitsch and the banality of everyday life and escapism. Without getting dirty!
