Metaxyum repräsentiert nichts anderes als sich selbst, den Zwischenzustand.

Dieses Metaxyum analysiert die Seite, die einst Kunstwerke, Künstler und Ausstellungen mit der Bezeichnung Entartete Kunst brandmarkte.

Es beobachtet u.a. das retrograde Phänomen in der Kunstgeschichte.
Parallel dazu präsentiert das Metaxyum die Kunstgeschichte (Architektur, Bildhauerei, Malerei, Zeichnung Grafik, Musik) von der Steinzeit bis zur Gegenwart.

Dieses Metaxyum ist ein Readymade.
Alle Gegenstände, Werke, Artefakte, die in der Präsentation zu sehen sind, sind gekauft, bestellt, geschenkt oder gefunden worden.
Präsentiert wird historisches Originalmaterial: Leinwände, Skulpturen, Objekte, Bücher, Dokumente, Grafiken, Fotografien, Schallplatten, Videos, Fotokopien, Kopien, Kataloge, 3D Drucke, Reproduktionen, Screenshots ...

Während der Präsentationszeit sind das präsentierte Material sowie die Präsentationsräume Metaxyum.

Schulgruppen oder Gruppen, die aus 5 oder mehr Personen bestehen, werden gebeten, sich vorher telefonisch oder via E-mail anzumelden.

“DEGENERATE” ART
a metaxyum* (from the Greek metaxy μεταξύ / in-between)

*To move from one state to the next each process passes through an in-between state.
This could be referred to as metaxyum.
Metaxyum represents nothing other than itself, the in-between state.

This metaxyum analyses the side that once branded artworks, artists and exhibitions with the term Degenerate Art.

It observes, among other things, the retrograde phenomenon in art history.
Simultaneously, the metaxyum presents the history of art (architecture, sculpture, painting, drawing, graphic artworks, music) from the Stone Age to the present.

This metaxyum is a readymade.
All objects, works and artefacts that are on display have been purchased, ordered, given or found.
On display is historical original material: canvasses, sculptures, objects, books, documents, graphic artworks, photographs, vinyl records, videos, photocopies, copies, catalogues, 3D prints, reproductions, screenshots …

During the presentation, both the material on display and the presentation space are metaxyum.

School groups or groups of five or more are asked to make an appointment via telephone or email first.
