(english)Die Hamburger Künstlerin Sigrid Sandmann wird für zwei Wochen eine ehrenamtliche Tätigkeit als Künstlerin in der Oberwelt e.V. aufnehmen.
Sandmann richtet in den Galerieräumen der Oberwelt ein öffentliches Amt ein, um dort persönliche Gespräche mit Stuttgarter*innen zu führen.

Thematisch wird Sigrid Sandmann mit Besucher*innen über soziale Utopien fantasieren. Aus diesen Gesprächen werden täglich Fragmente herausgefiltert, die nach Feierabend als ‚Meinungskonzentrat‘ – schwarz auf weiß – auf die Wände des Ausstellungsraumes beschriftet werden. Die Räume der Oberwelt werden sich peu à peu in eine große Textcollage verwandeln.

Alle Stuttgarter*innen sind eingeladen, zu den Öffnungszeiten in das Amt zu kommen, um sich an der Erforschung sozialer Utopien zu beteiligen.

Temporary Voluntary Office for the Investigation of Social Utopias
A participatory art project

Sigrid Sandmann

The Hamburg artist Sigrid Sandmann will engage in voluntary work for a two-week period at Oberwelt e.V.. Sandmann will set up a public office in the Oberwelt gallery with the aim of facilitating personal conversations with Stuttgart residents.

Thematically, Sigrid Sandmann will fantasize with the visitors about social utopias. Fragments will be sifted out from these conversations and at the end of each day the resulting “opinion concentrate” will be written on the walls of the exhibition space – black on white. Little by little, the Oberwelt space will be transformed into a large text collage.

All Stuttgart residents are invited to visit the public office during opening hours to participate in the investigation of social utopias.
