Transmission | Serayat ist ein dynamischer Prozess im Fluss, bei dem Resonanzen das Denken und die Form von Dingen verändern, die noch geschehen müssen. Es ist ein vorübergehender, vibrierender Raum, der unterschiedliche Praktiken und nuancierte Kulturen umfasst. Das Projekt zwischen drei Künstlerinnen aus dem Iran und drei Künstlerinnen aus Stuttgart ist ein sich entwickelnder Treffpunkt mit Werken, die Skulptur, Installation und Druckgrafik umfassen.

Über mehrere Monate hinweg haben sich die Künstlerinnen online versammelt, um Arbeiten und Prozesse auszutauschen und allmählich ein Verständnis für den Kontext der jeweils anderen zu entwickeln. Diesen Herbst kommen sie zum ersten Mal in einem physischen Raum in Stuttgart zusammen, um bei Oberwelt auszustellen.

Das Projekt wird von einer Dolmetscher unterstützt, um die besuchenden Künstlerinnen mit lokalen KünstlerInnen und dem Publikum zu verbinden und kritische Gespräche auf Deutsch, Farsi und Englisch zu ermöglichen.

A project between Stuttgart, Isfahan and Tehran, organised by Dr Traci Kelly, DE and Dr Parastoo Jafari (Tazkar Projects), IR.

Transmission | Serayat is a dynamic process in flux, where resonances change the thinking and shape of things yet-to-happen. It is a transitional, vibrating space spanning diverse practices and nuanced cultures. The project between three artists from Iran and three artists from Stuttgart is an evolving meeting point with works that span sculpture, installation and print.

Over several months the artists have gathered online sharing work and processes, gradually gaining some understanding of the each other’s context. This autumn, they come together in a physical space for the first time in Stuttgart to exhibit at Oberwelt.

The project is assisted by an interpreter to connect the visiting artists to local artists and audiences and facilitate critical conversations across German, Farsi and English.
